Carrie comes from a literary and creative family. Her father was a famous historian and writer, and her mother a sculptor. She began writing at an early age and had her first work published at the age of 18.
Carrie went to University where she read English. She then taught for many years before giving up her career to write full time. She writes articles for magazines and a column for a newspaper. She also writes pen pictures of babies and memorable places. She has written for celebrities including Rory Bremner.
She says, ‘I love to bring people pleasure through my writing. To explore and celebrate that really special relationship between people and their pets is both enjoyable and rewarding.’
Carrie lives in Wiltshire with her family, two spaniels, and assorted other animals. Carrie supports the Charity Pets as Therapy. Both her dogs are registered PAT dogs. They visit retirement homes regularly. |
